Informational public-safety tool only
CrimeAlerts.us provides informational crime mapping, address/ZIP safety profiles, source links, general analytics, and handoffs to SpotCrime alerts. It is not a law-enforcement agency, emergency service, private investigator, background-check provider, tenant-screening service, consumer-reporting agency, legal advisor, security consultant, or guarantee of safety.
No emergency use
Do not rely on CrimeAlerts.us for emergencies or immediate threats. If there is danger, call 911 or the appropriate local emergency authority.
Permitted use
You may use CrimeAlerts.us for personal awareness, neighborhood research, travel planning, relocation context, and setting up lawful SpotCrime alerts for places you care about.
Prohibited use
- Do not use CrimeAlerts.us to stalk, harass, threaten, dox, shame, target, trespass, discriminate, or encourage vigilantism.
- Do not use the site as the sole basis for housing, employment, lending, insurance, admissions, tenant screening, credit, eligibility, or other decisions that require regulated consumer reports or professional review.
- Do not scrape, overload, reverse engineer, bypass security controls, abuse APIs, or interfere with site operations.
- Do not misrepresent CrimeAlerts.us reports as official police reports, official FBI ZIP crime rates, legal conclusions, or proof that a person, property, street, or neighborhood is safe or unsafe.
Data accuracy and coverage
Crime and public-safety data can be incomplete, delayed, duplicated, miscategorized, withheld, geocoded approximately, or unavailable. Agencies and data providers differ in what they publish, how quickly they update, and which categories they suppress for privacy or safety reasons. ZIP/ZCTA reports are centroid-based snapshots, not official ZIP crime rates.

We do not control those services and are not responsible for their availability, content, policies, decisions, or errors.

Intellectual property
CrimeAlerts.us site design, text, generated page structure, branding, and software are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Data, maps, names, and marks from SpotCrime, FBI, OpenStreetMap, or other sources remain the property of their respective owners. Do not remove attribution or source links.
No warranties
CrimeAlerts.us is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, timeliness, completeness, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and safety outcomes.
Limitation of liability
